It’s incredible but true, Zobo still makes lemonade by hand. To brew their unique drinks the Swiss pioneers of craft lemonade use a lot of fresh ingredients. Every Monday they boil their ingredients in a big kettle: Fresh Ginger, hibiscus of the best quality or freshly squeezed lime juice, raw sugar and selected spices. They extract, blend and filter elixirs, using almost forgotten traditional methods and make their small manufactory look like an alchemists kitchen. The rest of the week is used to bottle, pasteurize and label the bottles. Musically, the work is accompanied by reggae – and the relaxed environment can be tasted.
In addition, the lemonade is also very musical: From each bottle sold, 10 cents will go to the Zobo Music Fund which supports outstanding Swiss musicians.
